The longest day

A loooong day. Out of the house just after 5 a.m., arrived at S’s mum’s five trains and 15 hours later. Despite the predicted train disruption in both countries, it went very smoothly. The first three trains were all on time, the fourth one was 10 minutes late but so was the fifth one, so it worked out fine. Even Eurostar security and the two borders only took five minutes.

Very glad to get here though. Dinner and bed, thoroughly shattered.
