wide Wednesday

I went back to the mural I photographed yesterday and took a wide-angle shot of the whole thing. I like the little piece I took yesterday better. It hints at rather than reveals. Instead I will share this wide angle with you. 

The country is being hit with a massive storm. My very specific little area is lucking out. We will have terrible rain and then we will have terrible cold but the good news is that they will probably not be at the same time and thus we will not have dangerous ice. My best wishes for my friends here who will not be so lucky. 

Iceland is transferring about 12,000 pieces of winter clothing to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This includes wood socks and sweaters, hats, gloves, shoes, and coats. They had a national knitting marathon, esp for the socks and sweaters. The leadership of Iceland was directly involved. Soldiers, military hospitals, firefighters, and repair workers are getting it. 

Ukraine shot down a drone worth about $6 million. 

The first 18 days of December Ukraine exported twice as much corn as they did the first two weeks of November.
