The Cookie Crew

It took these 4 grandkids and all afternoon to make a whole recipe of my moms thin roll out sugar cookies.   They are all 4 excellent at rolling and decorating….saves me !  Fun to have them together.   And so grateful!   Interesting ..the girls use up all the cutters together on a batch, and put plenty of sugar,  the boys tend to do more of one shape and are very fussy/ meticulous with the sugar.    This way one could switch have breaks… Oskar  kept filling the tins… 5 of those!  My job was to stand by the oven and make sure nothing burned.   Exhausting work.. I’m now collapsed in my chair as H is taking the girls home and then we are off to Oskars 6 pm home basketball game !  Whew.    , no precipitation today so all the main streets are clear.   Freezing, tho. 
And it’s the solstice and our 59th anniversary!   Maybe we’ll celebrate tomorrow at the start of longer days. Yea!
