Afternoon treat

Made a banana cake this morning, an Australian recipe that doesn’t require beating the butter and sugar but melting it! Just after I had added the mashed bananas and egg I realised that I had not got any self raising flour so I had to go out to the local corner shop to buy a small packet! I made it for Sian’s carol workshop which was great fun! We learnt Cornish carols to begin and then gradually slightly more sophisticated ones!

After that I cooked steak and kidney for dinner then walked to the yard to find coffee and a place to read in the warmth! Was going to go to the craft fair but was helping Sian with the set up so didn’t make it! The book is a well written and a draws you in to keep reading!
