Dears!
We went to the outskirts of Dar es Salaam to visit Richard, our colleague who is still recuperating after his car accident in August. He’s in good spirits despite mobility issues and an intense programme of physiotherapy and we talked about what tasks he may want to take back on from January. A very positive visit especially as Richard’s wife prepared a surprise slap-up lunch, which was tasty and filling. I noted the combination of cassava flour and maize flour in the same batch of ugali, which I prefer to straight maize because I always find that quite a laborious thing to eat.
My colleague in Mozambique wrote an email to the whole programme, addressing us as Dears! It was beautiful, I loved it, and it should happen more in the UK.
