Crowded Start..

Went to the Sailing Club this morning, about the first time this year! There was a IOM Regatta going on, very windy, most boats had 2nd suits on some 3rd. Even then were being blown flat or "Diving" when Running ( Following wind). This was the start of one of the races, you need your wits about you in a fleet like this. The IOM( International One Metre) class was originally devised as a cheaper Class for normal Club Sailors with strict rules about sails and sizes. It was soon controlled by who could spend the most money, and now a half competive boat will set you back about 1K, 1 Rigs are about 250 pounds each, and you need 3!!
