Shortest day here today……..
……in the Northern Hemisphere.
7 hours 49 minutes and 42 seconds
The actual moment of the solstice in 2022 will occur at 9.48pm GMT in the UK, but most people concentrate on the whole solstice day, which has been recognised by holidays and festivals in many cultures all over the world. The shortest day lasts 7 hours 49 minutes and 42 seconds in London.
We have been out for a wonderful lunch with our friends Blipper Hélène and her lovely husband Geoff, at “The Pear Tree Crêperie”
Some more family presents have been wrapped and I am now watching a previously downloaded “Carols by Candlelight” service which took place at Holy Trinity Brompton church in London recently. Such a treat!
Including some lovely choral pieces, which included John Rutter’s “Star Carol”.
