Oxygen
Cold this morning but sun shiny so I had a walk with the Gypsy dog to celebrate the winter solstice and the fact that she had a good night last night with sleeping all night instead of waking me between 1-4am to go out to potty as she has since she got sick in September. Except for a few good nights like last night. Hoping for more nights of uninterrupted sleep.
I came across this poem that had all the feelings of when I walk among tall trees in the forest. Sometimes words of others appear right when you need them.
Oxygen
It’s quiet here between the trees
And I can almost feel
The weight of all the centuries begin to crack and peel.
I breathe and rebreathe oxygen,
What was and what will be.
And for a moment as I walk
It’s just the Earth and me.
…………..Ellis Nightingale
A little peace at this hectic time of year.
And a good nights sleep!
