Duck For Christmas Dinner?

No and no to Turkey as well. My understanding is we are having venison to celebrate Rudolph!

The Duck is a Christmas present. Pat is making this out of papier-mâché. The paper material is pulped egg cartons and a PVA glue.

Making the sculpture takes time as the shape is built up in layers which must dry before the next layer is applied. The tale and bill have cocktail reinforcement to give additional strength.

Of course our Christmas cake tins have rabbits.

Meanwhile the Christmas Decorations continue and I spend some time cutting branches of greenery.

Cooking and baking are also continuing.
 
Pat received a text message from Mr and Mrs Godson from Edinburgh Airport awaiting the first flight on their journey to Calgary. Now there will be cold.

They will return in time for Three Kings Day + 1 lunch.
