Be of Good Cheers!

As always, the Dorises have invited me to stay at theirs over Christmas and New Year. (I like to imagine it's because they enjoy my wit and charm, but I suspect it's because I always volunteer to do the dishes, and am very good at scrambling eggs.)

Many years ago, Doris installed a wee bar so that he could invite friends and neighbours round for a proper draught beer on special occasions (ie birthdays, Christmas, Tuesday afternoons etc). It's amazing how even non-beer drinkers absolutely love getting behind the bar and pulling a pint - we all seem to have an inner Bet Lynch!
