Beem Me Up Birdy
To Boldly Go Where No Parakeet Has Gone Before..
Thanks Janice, Will & Jenny for your creative Trekkie title suggestions. Go Team!
We took a fairly chilled out approach to today's agenda, it is Saturday after all!
While Janice was in the Office working, Will was out on an away mission showing prospective tenants around properties for the business & George was running Estrella back & from the hairdressers, Jenny & I laced up our running shoes, & off we went to Lloyd Park for a run. It was very pleasant day & although the rain clouds were hovering close by, the park was full of people & activity.
Amongst other sights & sounds up at the park, these parakeets flew into a one of the big trees & provided the perfect opportune shot. Aren't they colourful & they love to chirp away!
After a lovely light lunch, as promised, Lottie & I took a couple of runs around the block, galloping & chasing as we went.
This evening we went to the hub that is Wimbledon, had a delicious meal at the packed out Coal restaurant & then went to see the sci-fi movie event of the year - Star Trek Into Darkness - in 3D Imax.
'Absoultely incredible'
'Best movie.. EVER!'
'Better than Iron-Man 3!'
'Original Star Trek eat your heart out!'
Not anyone else's words, our words! It was a brilliant film, fantastic effects, great acting, fab adventure & action, true to the original themes & characters, yet bringing ST well into the modern age, even a tribble made an appearance too - a Trekkie's dream. We were very content!
In the words of a true, pointy-eared, green blooded legend, 'Live Long & Prosper'.
