Mycorrhizal network
A busy day with enough photos to fill a month’s worth of blips.
This evening we went to Christmas at the Royal Botanic Garden which was tremendous. Even better but not quite as cold as 5 years ago to the day. Excellent variety of lighting and scenarios with some stunning displays, including laser lights and distant vistas. The main photo highlights the connections between tress - the mycorrhizal network. One extra shows the floating lilies which kept changing colour.
Before heading there we had friends from Comrie drop in. And this morning several of us went to see the Dr Who exhibition at the museum. Really enjoyed that both to reminisce about past episodes, see the scientific background which informed the series and the issues explored over the 50 years of the programme. All very well presented and many original props (including the first Tardis control console) on display. The second extra shows the variations of Cybermen. As with the Botanics so many photos including many of the Daleks and the range of monsters. I’ll need to go back when I have more blip space,
