Ghost Pepper
Friday evening, I attended a "Ghost Pepper" tasting party. The host provided some dried Ghost Peppers, cooked meat, bread, milk, and ice cream.
Another guest brought the majority of the hot sauces, which he had recently purchased from a specialty retailer located close to New York City. I brought my still unopened bottle of Melinda's Naga Jolokia Pepper Sauce.
Far from a barbeque sauce tasting, this was an event to sample some of the hottest sauces available. Some of these sauces are in EXCESS of ONE MILLION Scoville units.
The plastic container in the foreground contains ground Trinidad Scorpion Pepper, and just above that is a bowl of dried Ghost Peppers.
In case you are wondering about the ice cream... dairy products are much more effective than water in putting out the fire :)
