Views Over Edinburgh
A lovely morning in Shetland, and it continued all the way to Edinburgh. When the sun disappeared behind clouds, and the wind picked up, it got cold.
Up early, packed the suitcases into the car, and headed to Sumburgh Airport for our flight to Edinburgh. All on time, and checked into the hotel. Caught the tram into the city and a day looking around shops. Bumped into friends, Ruby and Ralph Godden, they were also on our flight down, and also heading to Tenerife too. A meal at Cosmo this evening, and what a feed! Off to bed early, early start tomorrow.
A fine break away from the shops, and a look around the Christmas Market, homing in on the German food stalls. With it being such a fine day, we took the opportunity to head up in the ferris wheel, which gave great views over the city. Sadly with the low winter sun, the castle was sun bleached. A nice view over part of the Market, and towards Scott's Monument, Princes Street, Edinburgh.
