Leith, eh?

Spotted when I first looked out of the window this morning. They weren't there long (the model's attire being somewhat inappropriate for the ambient temperature).

Had a brief foray later in search of waxwings - D spotted some yesterday in what they seem to have adopted as a roosting tree, just across the river. There were a few of them, but too high up in the branches for a decent shot (see extra). It was so good to see them again though, and I could hear their delightful chattering. And they seem to have entirely stripped the little tree I blipped a while back.

Last night we heard that an old friend down south had died on Sunday night. This morning a Xmas card from him arrived in a heap of backlogged post. So sad - RIP dear Tim.
