First French band ringing in the UK

We had a lie in recovering from yesterday’s travels. Our friends said we would be meeting up with their ringing friends. They did not say that they were our other friends, members of the Vernet band who had travelled over from Warwickshire to Essex - a lovely surprise. We went to St Mary’s church, Matching for a tower grab and had a pleasant lunch together.
