An unseasonably warm day brought out an array of summer activities. Our small city has a river running through it, so there was boating, canoeing and even tubing for those brave enough to tolerate the frigid water. On shore there was cycling, skateboarding, outdoor musical entertainment, people out for leisurely walks and cars driving with windows open and music blaring. I saw all this while out for about an hour with my camera. Oh, and the red-winged blackbirds were out as well as the beavers swimming quickly along to get materials for dam building. What a glorious evening.

This peaceful walk followed a wonderful afternoon where family gathered to celebrate Mother's Day. I could not be prouder of our family.
