Amaryllis…

The whole church Nativity service this morning was fun. It had been suggested we all dress up as a character of our choosing from the story and take part as different readers read passages from the Bible. Some very creative ideas and costumes!

More conventional this evening for the candle light Carol service preceded by mulled wine and mince pies. Some of our community lunch friends came, plus Bob and Celia, friends for many years and not used to church at all.

This morning I was given three amaryllis stems. So strong and beautiful. I’m hoping the cool environment of the conservatory will be just right for them and they’ll maybe open for Christmas.
