Gingery

V. and I met this playful ginger cat while we were out and about today. It was basking in the sunlight on the sidewalk, and rapidly proved itself to be the type of cat that flips onto its back at the slightest provocation (a leaf, a piece of paper debris, a finger), ready to do battle. V. took to dropping leaves on it, which pleased it, since they became targets. Eventually I pried V. away before all the nearby bushes were denuded, but she was quick to warn upcoming pedestrians that there was a cat on the sidewalk, and not to step on it.

Judging by their expressions, I could tell it was the furthest thing from their minds, because the ginger cat was willing to wrestle with ankles, I'll bet.
