Pacific Dogwood (Cornus nuttallii)

Yosemite Valley is bursting with white flowers, trees at least 25 feet tall, standing full and alone, or scrawny and fighting for a place among the conifers in the forest. Blossoms hang over rushing rivers and creeks, shine bright against huge granite boulders. Looking up from under one of these trees feels like being in your own galaxy of glowing stars. In all our many visits, I've never seen such magnificence.
