Blip Advent Calendar - Day 18!

Don't open window 18 for too long, you don't want to let the cold in!

A beautiful, if bracing, walk from Whitley Bay to Tynemouth this morning. The wind was blowing directly in your face which made it feel bitter! It's so unusual to see the sand white with snow, it's quite the sight.

I thoroughly enjoyed looking round the little shops and the fantastic market before strolling back to Whitley Bay. It was marginally warmer with the wind behind me! :-P

The journey home was quite the adventure as freezing rain resulted in being stranded in Cilla just twenty minutes walk away from being back. You couldn't stand up or move the car because everything was covered in a fine layer of lethal black ice. I just had to sit it out and wait for things to be safer!! An hour or so later I made it back. :-)

I'm taking today's quote directly from the victory speech Hamza gave on Strictly last night.
