World Champions

Ever since I was a lad I've loved both playing and watching football. I've known the highs and lows, wept tears of sadness and tears of joy and that's with never paying on the professional stage.

This evening was one of the best World Cup Finals there has ever been. A shoot out between "The Master" (Messi) and "The Apprentice" (Mbappe) with Messi and Argentina ultimately triumphing over France.

A wonderful way to leave the World's Stage, Messi will be uttered in the same sentences as the greats of long ago.... Pele and his fellow countryman Maradona being two of them.

There will be more dramatic days and nights in the footballing world but for just now I will soak up the atmosphere that has been shared on the big screen and fondly remember a brilliant game of football.
