Nature can be so cruel!

We went down to Strichen lake this morning again to feed the birds and walk the dogs.
Yesterday, we noticed the young swan was in a separate piece of unfrozen water from the adults but didn’t think too much of it.
Today, again the adults were separate from the young one. But, the adults started swimming and walking towards the young one in a rather aggressive way.
Obviously the adults think it is time their offspring went her own way. I do feel for the youngster and hope she manages to find a safe “other place”
The SSPCA is keeping a close eye on her.
