Leaving gnome

I finished work for the year on the 8th, and spent nearly a week at my sister's farm (during which time I crocheted this gnome Christmas tree). Then headed home for a few days, via my grandson's Year 8 graduation - it's seriously hard to comprehend that the tiny preemie baby is starting high-school in February!

Yesterday we had a family Christmas dinner at home as we begin to scatter around the country and the world from today. Many people, much food, many gifts and a few drinks.

So today I have headed off on my summer holiday.  I stopped off at Birdlings Flat (where this photo was taken) to pick up a gentleman who needed a ride into Christchurch.  Tonight I'm camped in town as I have a not to be missed manicure in the morning, then I'll be off south.

Places to see, things to do, friends to catch up with.
