Romance

This afternoon we wandered round some of the local sites involved in Oxfordshire artweeks - three weeks in May when people open homes and studios, or borrow community centres or schools, to exhibit their painting, jewellery, pottery, photography, printmaking, sculpture, weaving, whatever... Anyone can participate and the range is phenomenal. We ended up in the warehouse that OVADA (Oxfordshire Visual Arts Development Agency) moved into a few months ago and I'm afraid I enjoyed the building more than the artworks. But perhaps I was supposed to - the exhibition was entitled 'The Romance of Dereliction'.

I'm feeling rather embarrassed about my lifebelt rant from three days ago. I got things wrong and have amended my text.
