Winter Sky

We woke to a cold and clear morning which turned into a cool, but sunny, Saturday.  We spent the morning watching the World Cup match for third place - between Croatia and Morocco who were both in the semi-finals.  Morocco tried hard, but Croatia won 2-1.  The final is tomorrow between Argentina and France.

This evening we watched (on YouTube) the 40th Anniversary Concert of The Young@Heart Chorus, a singing group of local residents who are "young at heart" and range from 75 to 100 years old.  It was wonderful and inspiring.  They have toured Europe in past years and in 2008 were the subjects of a film which was shown widely,
