Compacted

My route to the greenhouse over the past week or so has resulted in hard compacted ice which, despite the above zero temperatures refuses to thaw.

Indeed it is much more slippy than before and is quite a risk. If I had ice skates or crampons I’d use them.

Our daughter and her wife arrived late this afternoon from Lancaster. It was great to catch up - and enjoy an early Christmas dinner - followed by Strictly.
