Brighter

Well, it was later in the day!    

A wet start to the day.  I was in work early for what turned out to be a very busy shift spent mostly at the restaurant counter, taking orders, dispensing drinks and navigating the EPOS till menus, sub menus and sub sub menus with all the varied food and drink options.  My aging brain takes longer than it used to learning new tricks but even though I am rarely asked to do this particular job, I am (slowly) getting quicker!!  It certainly helps time pass more quickly.

There were plenty of visitors travelling on our Santa Special trains today, shame the really wintry look has gone here but still a bit of the white stuff higher up.  Very nice that the sun broke through this afternoon, here the final train is about to depart.  315pm and the sun is setting.   Nearly the shortest day, a turning point.   The promise of brighter, longer, warmer days ahead.  A new year.   A new start.
