Irrigation

With Helen in Liverpool, me nursing a sore tooth socket and a very grey day I decided to repair the irrigation in the newly refurbished tunnel.I just took the pipework up to the installation of a new valve on the line.Ice still in the pipes when I cut into an undamaged section.

After lunch I decided to start filling the pipes on gravity alone so it could slowly work its way around.Turning one tap or valve off at a time as the water reached it took about two hours.Bleed the pumps in the morning and we should be ready to water.

At the moment I am half way  through the latest memoir by Raynor Winn.Landlines.Her writing is simply beautiful.

Overcast and cold.
