Gingerbread creation at the Broadmoor
This is an edible rendition of Mr. Spencer Penrose’s 1937 V-8 Cadillac touring car. ( Penrose opened the Broadmoor Hotel in 1918).
The sign by the display said it took 10 pastry chefs 308 hours to make this. The recipe called for 958 lbs of powdered sugar, 475 lbs of flour, and 1801 eggs, among other things.
