Spouting

A public holiday for Tanzania’s Independence Day, but no rest for the wicked and/or those with pressing funding deadlines.

After slogging away, by late afternoon I felt it was very reasonable to go and seek out a chicken schnitzel and refreshing lemon and mint beverage at this restaurant with a spouting lion fountain.

Unfortunately there was a power cut all night with the added envy of the next door building having a generator that whirred into action. Hoping my building will benefit from the same in the near future as the sweaty season is well and truly upon Dar es Salaam.

Not good timing with work to complete on the funding proposal. I could still take part in calls using mobile data so we soldiered on, even though I couldn’t see what I was writing in my notebook.
