Snake Pass
This morning we drove over to Sheffield to collect Abi from university. In snowy weather like this, Snake Pass is sometimes closed, but our apps seemed confident that it was clear and open, which, indeed, it turned out to be.
It was a beautiful drive over, although a couple of abandoned cars off to the side of the road suggested some overconfident driving when the conditions were less conducive.
And whereas Salford had been pretty snow-free, Sheffield was looking particularly Christmassy, with some cautious driving required in order to get down to Abi's halls of residence.
We had an equally stunning drive back, before going for lunch at Kim's Café, where we were joined by Charlie. In the afternoon, I went over to the office so that I had somewhere quiet for my German lesson, and to record the radio show, and then Hannah came over to the house in the evening for dinner with the Minx, Abi, and me.
