New girl

I’m still struggling a bit with being the new girl at work: trying to get my head around systems that are alien to me and gradually trying to pick up cues on the organisational culture and lingo. I downloaded this image from our archive to put as my desktop today and it’s helped me out. We often talk about our work as being all about making sure that the next child is fed. This image, and the countless stories of hope that I hear, help me deal with my feelings of inadequacy.

A nice evening in town with some friends also helped.
