We did another shift at foodbank this morning as we knew it would be super busy. JP and I were in the back hall sorting the Christmas hampers again. The team gave out 103 bags of food today - an enormous amount. The value of an average bag is about £20 so a lot of value was given out to our clients, plus 43 Christmas hampers, many of which were for families. It was a tad hectic and our shelves are now pretty empty.
At the end of the morning, once all of our clients had left, a charity representative came in and gave us a cheque for £1000 plus lots of chocolate for the children. It will all be put to good use!
This afternoon we popped back into town to go in a couple of shops.
This evening we went round to MILs flat and had an Indian take away with her and M & J. Ms birthday tomorrow.
