Friday: Christmas Cake Recipe

Everywhere was very frosty again this morning but it was raining here around lunchtime. MrD was driving back from Llangefni and there was sleet/snow. Supposed to be warmer over the weekend and next week, rain and wind too … :-((
Used my very old recipe book as a guide to making this year’s Christmas cake - the kitchen was filled with the smell of hot brandy which the dried fruit had been soaked in. 
I don’t like just one item in the oven so I made a vegetarian gluten free pasta bake too - which will be portioned and frozen to be a handy meals over the next couple of weeks.
Birds were very hungry today and I refilled the feeders a few times and they had fresh water as they do every day.
