Ground breaking

It's been a good day!

I had the great pleasure this morning of attending the cutting of the first sod of the new community centre in Mintlaw by our local councillor who has worked tirelessly with the local MACBI ( Mintlaw and Central Buchan Initiative) committee over the last ten or so years to ensure that this dream is realised. I'm looking forward to using the facility once it's completed!

Then we headed to Strichen park for a family lunch. We haven't seen a lot of them over the last couple of weeks so it was great to catch up over a lovely meal at The Lodge. This was followed by a "feeding the ducks and geese and swans and seagulls" session in the rain. Lola had a ball!

While we were there our plasterer got on with the final touches of his contribution to the extension which means it's all go for the joiner, plumber and sparky next week! Hooray!

Now relaxing with a glass of Rioja watching the Voice. Just love Tom!
