Beauty and Power

After visiting friends I caught this view of the Pentland Hills and the power lines.

It made me think of those in Shetland entering their 4th day without electricity due to the ice on the wires bringing down the cables and even toppling electricity poles. It looks like a few days before power is restored - and slightly milder weather comes in.

While the metal pylons may not be attractive they are more resilient.
