Grey Heron

I got up to the loch a bit earlier today. It was still quite dark. The young one was on the ice and started to walk over. I started feeding her when another heron landed on the viewing platform. The young one chased it away to the far end of the loch. I was sure it was the young male and thought I would need to see if I could find it. The young one returned and got a bit more fish then flew off to the side of the loch to wait for me. I started feeding her when the young male landed right next to me on the path. I started feeding him quickly before he was chased off. I was also feeding the young one at the same time. The young male was really hungry took a good feed then flew off. The young one ignored any other fish I gave her so I went in search of the adult male. He was at his usual spot so I fed him, then noticed a couple staring at something on the path. It was the young male making his way towards me again. I gave him some more then gave the last of it to the young one!
