Black Ice.

Within the paved area surrounding the new house is a pond, designed to look like a shiny liquid oblong. The water is dyed black to prevent algae etc. The frost has caused some fabulous shapes to appear on the surface.

There today I planted 570 bulbs which had been delayed for weeks. Conditions were not ideal, 230 of them went into the level beds which were like concrete but they had to be in today, I'm not back again until after Christmas.
