Back By Popular Demand

The starlings had not been seen since the spring. Now they are back daily, cramming the seeds down and chasing off the competition. It's hard to get a variety of birds while they are around. 

 Winter is the season for the amazing starling murmuration. Are they preparing for this? Or is it that they are side tracked by all this lovely food. They'll suddenly realise that it's time to go and I wont see them until next spring. For now I am just enjoying their chatter and striking good looks.
