Rose-breasted grosbeak

Well, this was a rare treat and first thing this morning, too! This rose-breasted grosbeak was in the tree next door and was looking around for some seeds. We only really see them this time of year and only once or maybe twice briefly as they migrate through the area heading north. Edward or I blipped on once but we can't find it at the moment. This bird was not the only excitement for the day. We went to a couple of plant sales, went for a walk around a pond and saw a huge pollywog, and I rescued a turtle from getting squashed on the road. Edward posted a blip of me holding the Midland Painted Turtle that I rescued today.
