The bridge over the canal.

Another cold day but felt so much better as we had blue sky and sunshine.
Popped down to Sainsbury’s to buy my Christmas poinsettia. Ended up with a small trolley load of food etc.! However all things I need. Only a bottle of mulled wine was a Christmas extra.
Decided to have a look at the canal to see if it was frozen. As you can see only in places. It was mainly clear.

Such a beautiful afternoon we went for a walk. Had a look at the pond. It was frozen solid. Where people had tried to break the ice it had also frozen over. No sign of any ducks or moorhens. Hopefully they will return when the ice melts.
I noticed there were a lot of footprints on the icy pond. So glad no one fell through the ice.
I hope parents will warn their children how dangerous this is.
