I have had a cough for about ten days.so this morning I phoned surgery was on hold being 11 in the queue. When I did get through the receptionist took details and said the Dr would ring me this afternoon which he did and said he would like for me to come to the surgery which is only a two minute walk.he was thorough listened to my lungs ,chest were OK BP up a little throat little red temperature fine.said it is a viral infection. Prescribed a steroid nasal spray not antibiotics. I had been using sterimar nasal spray .the cough keeps me awake at night .I had this infection last Christmas. I made a carrot  parsnip,onion and garlic soup in soup maker and it was delicious. It has been a very cold day so it is lovely to be in with a lovely fire.
