Animals in winter 2 (Ponies)
I've blipped them so many times, stationed right here on the cliff top, their barrel bellies churning out the calories that keep them centrally heated.
In the days when I wrote ridiculously long blips I described the adaptive strategies evolved by horses in order to keep warm on cold days such as these when the grass they are munching on is still frozen in mid-afternoon. (It's here)
No need to be too concerned though. When the weather is very severe these ponies are supplied with hay at the point where there's a gate on to the road.
