Frost

Hair, feather or silk frost not sure which.

Trying to understand the difference of hoar frost v rime ice frost. Clear frost v foggy frost.

As we have had both clear frosty nights & foggy frosty nights think its a mix of both on the trees, plants & some white ice & hidden black ice on the roads & pavements.

Have been seeing some cracking temperature inversion pics recently over on twitter. But not yet out myself to take scenery pics.

It was -9°C this morning but has warmed up slowly to 0°C & will drop again overnight.

Slightly heated water out several times for the water dishes but are just solid by the morning again. Hope the birds get some, even the feeders are covered in frost.
