Loch Naver looking towards Altnaharra.

We are heading back home after a lovely week on Orkney.We had an early crossing so reached 'the other side' before 9am.
Took a quick visit up to Dunnet head to see the lighthouse.Several birds were nesting on the cliffs looked like kittiwakes and fulmers.
We are staying in The Altnaharra Hotel,a former Drovers Inn over night to celebrate our 28th Wedding Anniversary.
Altnaharra is a small hamlet in Sutherland where the lowest temperature of -27.2 c was recorded on 30th December 1995.However on the 20th March 2009 the highest temperature in the uk of 18.5 c was recorded.
It's been a nice afternoon here with some heavy looking clouds.About to go for our meal in the lovely restaurant.
