Sandstone
For a change from the usual, I thought I'd take a photo of one of the stones that make up the geology trail in the cemetery, dotted amongst the gravestones. There are examples from all over the British Isles; this is from Craigleith in Edinburgh, the building stone of choice in the 19th century. I really liked the fine lettering on this one, most of the others are much plainer.
Unfortunately I can't remember which local worthy installed the trail, but doubtless it was for the enlightenment of the masses.
