Autumn - meet Winter

It felt a bit poignant seeing the Oak leaves in their final resting place today..... they hung on, but winter has won now!

In the extra, a view over the hedge into my Dad's garden. Today was the most snow we've had so far. Luckily not too much still, but I would love it if we could get back to more average, milder temperatures. I keep feeling worried for the people who can't heat their homes adequately, or who are homeless. The birds must be finding it tough too - (although hopefully they are more adapted to coping with extreme cold). Some days this week it hasn't got up above minus 5 or 6 degrees here. I've started putting out food for them two or three times a day now. Once doesn't seem enough when they eat it all so quickly.
