Baby it’s cold outside

Wasn’t expecting the -8.5 temperature when I started the car this morning! Or the ice on the inside of the windscreen. Took a bit of thawing out before I could safely drive off. It felt cold but not that cold when I took Phin round the block this morning.

It was an excellent day in the warehouse, very cold but there was plenty to do to keep the volunteers busy. They picked gifts for an incredible just over 1600 children today. That’s around 5000 gifts packed into bags, labelled and ready for collection. The downside of being so organised today is that tomorrow may be quiet!

Threw together a pasta dish today with leeks, courgettes, mushrooms, leftover salami and other cold meats. All in a tomato, basil and crème fresh sauce.
