A wooden plinth collapsed!
The Feast Day of Saint Lucy.
Nothing unusual happens here usually, but this evening, Paul noticed one of our bookshelves was at a different height to the one on the right side of the wooden plinth built over York stone. Then he noticed the wooden top had collapsed and we needed to move a lot of books and ornaments to inspect the damage. It was a terrible shock to see the way it is caved in.
Tomorrow, Paul aims to replace the wooden shelf and then all will be fine again. It is a huge piece. Hence the photo of some of the rescued books.
I hope you all have a good evening. The snow is remaining here in our neighbourhood. It is freezing cold outdoors.
Thanks for recent kind comments. Take care blip friends.
